1. Booking Fee (₹149)

The ₹149 booking fee is charged when a User initiates a contact request with a Lawyer. This fee is governed by the following rules:

Request Expired (24 hours)
If the Lawyer does not respond within 24 hours of receiving your contact request, the request automatically expires. Your full ₹149 is converted to Platform Credit within 2 business days and can be used for any future contact request.
Request Declined by Lawyer
If the Lawyer actively declines your contact request, your full ₹149 is converted to Platform Credit within 2 business days.
Request Withdrawn by User
If you withdraw a contact request before the Lawyer responds, no refund or credit is issued.
Request Accepted by Lawyer
Once a Lawyer accepts your contact request, the booking fee is non-refundable. This applies even if you later decide not to proceed with the consultation.
Consultation Scheduled & Cancelled
Consultation fees (charged separately by the Lawyer) are subject to the Lawyer's own cancellation policy. NyayVichar is not responsible for consultation fee refunds.

2. Platform Credits

Platform Credits are non-monetary and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred. Credits are valid for 180 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise specified. Expired credits are not reinstated.

3. Featured Lawyer Listing (₹2,500)

The Featured Listing fee paid by Lawyers is governed as follows:

  • No refund once the Featured Listing is activated on your profile.
  • If the listing is not activated within 48 hours due to a technical error on our side, a full refund is issued.
  • Listings that are removed due to a Terms of Service violation are not refunded.

4. Duplicate / Erroneous Payments

If a duplicate or erroneous payment is identified (e.g., double charge), please contact us within 7 days at billing@nyayvichar.in. We will verify and refund the excess amount within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
