Your Rights as a Data Principal

Right to Access
Request a summary of what personal data we hold about you and how it is being processed.
Right to Correction
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.
Right to Erasure
Request deletion of your personal data from our systems, subject to legal retention requirements.
Right to Grievance Redressal
File a complaint with our Grievance Officer. We respond within 72 hours and resolve within 30 days.
Right to Nominate
Nominate another individual to exercise your data rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
Withdrawal of Consent
Withdraw previously given consent for processing. Note: some services may no longer be available after withdrawal.

How We Obtain Consent

We collect and process personal data only with your informed, free, and specific consent. Before collecting your data, we clearly explain:

  • What data we collect and why
  • Who it will be shared with
  • How long it will be retained
  • Your right to withdraw consent
  • The consequences of not providing data

Data Localisation

All personal data of Indian users is stored on servers located in India. We do not transfer personal data outside India without appropriate safeguards as required under the DPDP Act.

Significant Data Fiduciary Obligations

As a platform processing sensitive legal data, we implement additional safeguards:

  • Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) for new features
  • Appointment of a Data Protection Officer (DPO)
  • Annual independent data audits
  • Regular staff training on data protection
  • Incident response plan with 72-hour breach notification

To exercise any of your data rights, you can:

Escalation to Data Protection Board

If your grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India (once constituted) as per the provisions of the DPDP Act, 2023.
